I was wondering what would be the most reliable compressor. I want a single instead of dual, and want to know if Viair or Air Zenith has been better, and which models work best on a 7 gallon tank with both Re6s and Re8s? Thanks

If you wanna fill 7 gallons then you need more than 1 compressor. There's been a lot of down AZ compressors, just a hit and miss. Viair 480's are sweet.

belt driven !!! love mine

I have a 302 going into a Mazda, so an engine driven might be a little tight. So 2 480's will do it no problem.

Viair 480 would be the best. I have used a few AZ compressors at my shop, but I won't order them anymore, 2 many problems. Just ordered 2 480 for a customer thats ready to through his AZ out the window. Their customer support is "send it back to where you got it".

on a 7 gallon id run 2 480s or 2 450s. ive heard nothing but iffy things about the AZ, although once bugs are worked out it SHOULD be a badass comp.

an engine driven would also be dope, but finding the space might be a lil tight...

I'm actually going with a 5 gal instead, so 1 480 would be fine, right?
