s-10 tranny x-member

where can i find one or who makes one

Why do you need a new one? Does it need to be modified? Or are you talking about a carrier bearing x-member?

i need one that is modified so i dont drag it

i havent seen a s10 with a tranny xmember that hangs down. only carrier bearing x-members on like 98+ ext cabs. if thats the case, sd.com sells those.

No, some s10s hang down. If its just the triangle plate, remove the plate all together. Drill out the holes in the rail on the bottom to about 1/2" and use an allen head bolt inside the frame rail. If the other side is hanginf low, just cut off the bottom and re-plate it.

oh shit, i know what hes taking about now.

on my s10, whoever bagged it before i got ahold of the turd basically welded on 2 plates. one to the fame and one to the xmember. drilled 2 holes for bolts and that holds everything together on that side. the other side is bolted through the side of the frame

yes tranny x-member i have a carrier bearing x-member dont need it. yes i have the plate that is below the frame. the prob is i dont want a weld on member i do have a 5 speed tranny so i wanna be able to get it all apart with out recutting to change clutchs

you have to cut the hump off the factory crossmember and replate it so its the same height as the frame. for the triangle, check out the mod here:

thanx for the info next question what bout the exauhst it looks to low for the y pipe. or is it just a thing that comes with the territory for draggin through those on the 4.3 by the way

get an exhaust shop to build you a new y-pipe that tucks up closer. Thats about all you can do.
