isn't a courier 6 lug as well? What would be the benefit of that. I guess if it is narrower and you are maintaining 6 lug it might work as an alternative to narrowing your rear end.

the idea was to keep it 6 lug and yes the courier is narrower than the hard body my question is has anyone done it my worry is its to narrow

I've put one under an 89 mazda,but never a nissan.I do know the courier rearend is about 5 1/2" narrower than the mazda's original.

I thought about doing that to my Mazda. The only limitation that I see that might occur is that the frame would be wider than the Courier rear end, but if you are building a frame or anything, that might not be so bad. Another thing to think about is gear ratio. You might want to get one close to the one you have currently to keep the rpms and speedo right.

yes i also but one on my mazda i have the gears so i need to know has it been done and what was done to make it work?

720 rear ends are narrower. the american bed 720 is like 1.5" narrower, and the jap bed 720 is more like 3". measurements were taken couple years ago so i dont remember exact. but i think those numbers are at least in the ballpark.

well this is what i have to work with 1982 720 4x4 or a 1982 courier
