Assuming that the upper and lower control arms are the same size (from the point where they attach to the frame to the point where they attach to the spindles) and they are the same distance apart at the frame and at the spindle, would this keep a neutral camber through out travel and still be able to get good lift up front?

the camber will stay the same throughout travel. and lift is dependent on placement of bags. but im not sure on how well it will handle, someone who knows more will be able to say whats up.

Absolutely! When cornering, the vehicle leans to the outside, when this happens a vehicle with unequal length a-arms generates negative camber aiding in keeping the tire patch as flat to the ground as possible. If the vehicle has equal length arms, the tires would stay parallel to the chassis and the tires would end up riding on the edge only. Your handling would suffer greatly. Now you may think that you aren't trying to build a truck to handle, but just pulling into a gas station requires cornering.

You also got to think about tire scrub. As your driving and the suspension is going through its motion the tire is not leaning in and out as with an unequal length arms setup would. The tire is actuall slide in and out. This will have the same action as a sander on your tires. You will go through tires alot.

I do that right now with toe when I drive low. My tires have a nice groove in just 500 miles. Lol. I'm gonna try to get it aligned before the 1200 plus trip to and from Drop Zone.

Agreed! Camber does more for your tires than one would think...

How do the shops like Extensive set up their front ends? You never see one of the bodydropped full size gm's (hummers or escalades) with any neg camber when layed out.
