I have a few questions for you 98+ Ranger guys who are bagged.

1. I have the suicide doors bag cups and I know the bottom one just sits in the spring pocket, but does the top bag cup get bolted to anything or does it also just sit in the spring pocket? There is a nut that is welded inside the cup.

2. How did you guys run your airline out of the bags up front? I want to run it through the frame so I would have to cut a hole in the bag cup and run it through that.

3. I have removed the sway bar, but is it ok to leave the bracket on the lower control arm that the sway bar connects to? Not sure if that a-arm goes up that high, but if it goes high enough it will hit.

4. Did you guys have to cut down your SD bag cups and if so which one and about how much? I assume you cut the top one down.Mark

That's exactly what I thought it was for. So putting a bolt through the shock mount hole does line up with the nut on the bag cup....that was what I was worried about. I bet that is a long ass bolt.

I'm running 18s so I guess I'll just have to get the bags in there and see if that sway bar mount on the lower a-arm needs to go. Thanks for your help man!

get some all thread from home depot or lowes 3/8's will be big enough. i didn't bolt mine in at all keep in mind you have to still cut out some of your spring pocket. make sure you have atleast 1/4" clearance around the bag. as for the sway bay i just got rid of mine. i ran my line through the shock mount hole

Thanks man. I'll have to check Lowes for it. So you don't even have the top bag cup bolted in? Does it move around a lot? Oh and no need to worry about clearance in the spring pocket because I took care of that yesterday.

yeah i didn't mount mine at all the weight of the truck should hold it in place. to be on the save side you could run short piece of all thread trough the shock hole and use a nut with some washers on it to hold it up.

HOW MINE IS DONE -- NOT SAYING ITS RIGHT OR WRONG - BUT IT WORKS FOR ME -- HAVE ON MY TRUCK FOR OVER 4 YEARS NOW - NO PROBLEMS WHAT SO EVER --

PLATE THE LOWER CONTROL ARM ---- BOLT THE BOTTOM OF THE BAG TO THIS PLATE --- THEN PLACE YOUR CUP ON TOP -- DID NOT BOLT TO THE TOP --RAN AIRLINE THRU STOCK SHOCK MOUNT ON TOP - CUT AND TRIM ACCORDINGLY ---
NOW AS FAR AS THE SWAY BAR GOES -- MINE IS STILL INTACT -- I JUST HAVE SHORTER SWAY BAR END LINKS - THEN FAB A FRONT SHOCK BRACKET AND YOUR GOOD TO GO --
