so you can line things up before spot welding. saw the guy on muscle car do the car up with these. looked like a time saver for sure.

they are basically a spring loaded, removable pop rivet. ther are different sizes available, but most common would be 1/8", which means you need to drill an 1/8" hole through the 2 pieces of sheetmetal you are lining up, for the cleco to go through.

they look to be pretty badass and i hope to pick some up soon. definately a time saver.

I get them from http://www.aircraftspruce.com/

If you buy a bunch, they can be had at a good discount, under $40 for 100 of them. Don't kid yourself, if you get 30 to start you'll quickly realize you fucking love these things and want 100 more. A must for sheetmetal work.

BUY them from THE YARD STORE.com They are a lot cheaper than Aircraft Spruce, they come in many different sizes and they also have clamps as well, I have a tool box full of these! Great for sheetmetal work!!!! Also these guys sale the tool you need and many other cool things!!! Check'em Out!

I've used them on race cars and they are pretty good..but I found that using self tapping screws are even better when mocking up sheetmetal..I just put a quarter on a 68 camaro the screws were a whole lot better, and saved time..I drilled and mounted all in one shot..and when I finished I just welded the holes..same as the cleco pins..just cheaper and faster

yea but the screws distort the metal but a self tapper is always easier.
