Front Marker Lights???

My lil' bro just bought himself a '96 Accord that had been wrecked at some time and for some reason the thing has no front corner marker/parking lights. It appears that someone tried to make them clears or something because the front half of the lenses are off. My question is, are you required to have these lights on your vehicle? The person he bought it from was very vague on them and said that this must've been alright because they got it inspected, but we couldn't figure out if the lights had been tampered with before or after that......Appreciate ya'll feedback!

if it's the lights in the front bumoper, yes, you need them. On 96/97 models, that is the only light that blinks when your turn signals are on. You should keep them.

Those (lights in front bumper) are on the car. The ones I'm talking about would be directly on either side of the actual headlight assemblies...there's just 2 voids, no lenses, no lights, no sockets........

on 96-97 models, those are just parking lights. Not really needed since the turn signals are in the bumpers.
