I was just wondering if i could shoot epoxy primer over body filler. And does urethane paint stick epoxy well, or do i just need to use a urethane primer.

Epoxy is normally used to seal the metal, and give body work something to stick to. Bondo and all that can absorb water, so having epoxy under it, won't let the water the filler absorbs, rust the metal. Sure you can spray epoxy over the filler, though I would have sprayed it first.

I was just wondering if i could shoot it, do body work, then shoot it again to seal that shit up. I have a gallon, and i rather just use it than have to buy another kind of primer

dont quote me on this, but i dont see the problem with doing that....

it's really a sealer. if you read the can it can be reduced to be sprayed as a sealer so I see no reason why you couldn't just use it?

if it were me, i would seal it with a urethane sealer when you're done with the body work.

Yep... use a 2k urethane primer/sealer over the finished bodybork...you could epoxy first but lay down the primer sealer before paint... PPG K36 is good as a sealer.

i have used theppg epoxy as a sealer and it works great. just mix it 4-1-1 with 885 reducer.

I actually got some Kustom Shop stuff, because im going to paint my truck Hot Rod Flatz Vanilla Shake. And it says it could be used as a sealer also, so i figured id use it. Also i was just wondering around how much paint does it shoot a whole truck?

A gallon depending on the opacity of the paint, and what you are painting...if you are gonna do under the hood, the jams, in the bed etc.... then get a gallon and a half.

you could also use a polyster primer instead as the surfacer, then use the epoxy as a sealer before paint. polyester primer wont shrink like urethane does.
