powdercoat or chrome

does anybody know if the the powdercoater or chromer can powdercoat or chrome over body filler, like rage extreme or is there a special type of filler that must be used? didnt know if i should put this into suspension or body work...move it if neccasary

you need to try stuff called LAB METAL if you are going to get powdercoating done and leading or brass filler for chrome

Both work off of charging the metal. It has to be metal for the product to adhere to it. Body filler will not work. James has some good recommendations Or ALOT of welding and grinding.

its a lot like jb weld but its not an epoxy i do powder coating we use this lab metal a lot we get it from a company called Fastenal its a little pricey but well worth it as long as the powder coater knows what they are doing i would get a hold of the powder coater you are going to use and see what they use but here is a link to the lab metal

lab metal is the way to go, theres a fastenal on west main on the bayouside somewhere between sonic and barker gmc

what about "all metal"? we use that at our shop for some work. goes on HOT but is like lead when sanding...might be another option. forgot the brand.

is it like a body filler? like mix it spread it, sand it? is it easy to sand or easy to work with?

its like a surup pre mixed ready to go brush it on let it dry for 12-24 hours depends on how thick you do it sand with 120 to shape it then it ready to go

well how long is the pot life? will it last a month or so in the pot as long as its covered...since its premixed
