first off i apreaciated you guys helping me with all these body work questions...

ok i have a hood for my dually that i took down to bare metal because it had many layers of bad paint..after i took it down to bare metal and pre clean it and shooted 2 wet coats of epoxy.the epoxy i used is called LESONAL it was 60 dollars for 1 quart.well i spray it and came out nice but is a lil shine....

now here are my questions...

is it supposed to be shiny?

do i take the spots were it has lil dings all the way to the metal before filler?what grit can i use to sand the epoxy before i put the filler primer?

ok im doing body work on the rest of the truck no big dents just lil dings

is it better to take the spot were im going to do body work to bare metal?and then when i sand the filler were ever i have bare metal i put a bit of epoxy there before the filler primer?epoxy cant go over bondo?

ok with all these said. i bought a gallon of primer called 5star is it good? is yellow i paid 60 bucks for the gallon

also lets say later i want to prime the whole truck with a better primer i have to sand the primer all the way to the filler is just scuff it out before i put the good one on..

thanks

i use PPg stuff but the epoxy when it dries can be like a semi-gloss finish....the little dings shouldnt have to be sanded to bare metal scuff the spots with sandpaper and use a 2 part putty (hardener+putty, i usually use evercoat) epoxy can go over anything its recomended with ppg over metal and b4 paint, i have heard of the 5star products u are using but never used them hope this helps a lil bit JOE

Lesonal is pretty much sikkens which in my opininon is the best. I have used the exact epoxy mud right over it never have had any problems.
