my truck is now stockfloored and on rocker with the pinch folded, and I was wondering what others did with the steering? It has that huge rubber puck, and the 2 ends don't line up anymore after the drop. So, am I supposed to switch out to a U-joint or just move the steering shaft somehow?

When I did a traditional bodydrop on my 87, I only had to clearance the left upper control arm a little because it hit just a little bit when driving really low.

Do you have a picture that could show the problem. Sounds similar to what I ran into on my isuzu when i did the bodydrop. I had to cut the steering column near the firewall, weld on a new shaft piece from a donor colomn and connect the two rods, basically added another u joint if that makes an since.

the steering shaft is sitting pretty much right on the upper mount on the frame with the puck that mazdas have, so it would be to either switch that out for a u joint or section another shaft in there.

pics would help, I stockfloored mine and didnt have to do anything to the steering at all.
