so im a dumb ass and didnt measure the distance from the front wheel hub to the axle before i tore my truck down to 4 link it, and now that im at the stage of starting to fabricate everything, i need the distance from front hub to the axle.

someone with a bagged Isuzu, late 80's to early 90's standard cab shortbed model, can u give me your measurment when the truck is laid out, and one of it full lift?

thanks guys.

by the way, heres some pics of what i started with, and where im at now

I don't know what the measurements are but you should be able to find them online. I know i've been able to find wheelbase measurements for most trucks in the past. Try searchin google. Might work...

i don't have the answer to your question but i did the same thing with my truck. i felt pretty stupid . find a stock one in a parking lot crawl underneath it but don't get caught thats a hard one to explain.

Use your driveshaft for a roundabout distance and measure off the cab to see if it puts you where you need to be in the rear wheel well it it is off then you might have to cut the driveshaft.

it looks as if my driveshaft has been shortened before. im redoing someone elses work. so it might have been.

i was thinking about just measuring off a stock truck, or just measuring off the bed and bed mounts to have the rear wheels centered in the wheel well on the bed.

thanks for the help guys!

Cool. You should put the bed on and then slide the axle in and center it in the wheel wells and then go from there. If is kustom why measure something stock.

true, i cant really just put the bed on, i havent had any help really with this, no one ever comes over, i had my dad help me carry the bed off, and thats about it. so i kinda have to just measure points on the bed to points on the frame to get it all centered. i guess i need to get some mo-fo's over to help out

Shit sounds alot like my house I lifted the bed off by myself once and my dad comeover to help the other times. I had to get guys from work to come over when I took the cab off and on and off and on HA HA
