Ok so I always figured a supercharger would give your engine a nice boost in power. Well a '90 Silverado I'm lookin to buy runs low 13s. My friend said that its slow and a stock one runs a second slower. Is this true?

I think your asking if a stock 1990 silverado runs 14's and if a supercharger would make it run 13's? If so, No. And No. It probbaly is a solid 16 or 17 and may drop to a 15 or 14. Correct me if im wrong.

That pretty much answered my question but the '90 silverado that has the supercharger runs low 13s. I was asking if a stock one runs 14s.

Thanks though. That answered it. I'm gonna go hit my friend on the head now

Running 13's in a truck is pretty fast, most stock run around 18's and up. There's just no traction in the rear with a bed, not enough weight over the axle. You'd have to do alot more then just add a super charger to get into 13's. A Ford Lighting with NOS can run a low 13.

try to hit me fool ill put your head between your legs and kick your ass

told u a stock silverdo is about a 14 second 1/8th mile time

and i doubt that truck just supercharged runs 13 quartermile

unless its a 350 that was stroked into a 383 with 400 heads and alooooot of balancing

14 seconds is good for a prostreet car

not to be an ass but if your pro street car only runs 14's you may need some help since i believe stock sti and evos run around those times in the quarter if not faster

hmm 14s in the 1/8 i think somone needs to go to the track and watch some trucks race i know were a stock truck is that runs 16s but you still have to remeber in 90 they didnt have speed limiters and so on but 14s in the 1/8 maybe a moped but most pro street cars run around 12's or 11's and thats like runnin a 6 or so in the 1/8th

All right here we go! I have a 2500HD 4x4 and its weights 7,000 pds its got a few things done to it! It ran a 17.03 in the 1/4! now my s10 it ran 12.95 with a mild built 350 in it! I got all the time sleps here!

I raced a 90 moodel chevy 2dr supercharged and he ran low 14s!

All i can say is go to the test and tune night at your local dragstrip and check it out what other trucks are running!!

I dont post on here much but I agree with David. I went to the 1/8th mile track here in my town and put down a 9.94 with a pretty much stock s-10. Its a V-6 that I built years ago. But 1/8th mile and 1/4 mile times are way different.
