What is a good set up for some strong deep tight responsive bass. I've played with a jl audio 12 and it was awesome but i felt the amp the guy had killed it... whats a good amp to control a w7 jl audio 12. Im doing a sealed style box but maybe a port but no band pass. So im basically wondering what amp for the w7 and ported or sealed?

I have a 13w7 on a Audiobahn 1300. Amps turned down a little bit. Wired parrallel to .75 ohms. It smashes. If your looking for good low bass it's the way to go. Real ear bleeding bass. I've had the setup since 03, play it loud daily. No problems at all. I wont buy another subwoofer other thant he 13w7. Best out there in my book.

my first system i had ported through the bed into the cab in my single cab fullsize

4 crossfire bmf 12" subs with 2 1000 watt mono block single chanel amps bridged and it was way overkill but verrrrrrrry loud and i was a crossfire fan for a while but until recently when i discovered the memphis m3mojo line of subwoofers

these things are insanely loud if anyone at dangerzone heard the bagged purple and black explorer on 22's... it has memphis audio

heres what i would reccomend

SPECIFICATIONS
M3MOJO12
Continuous Power Handling
1000 watts
Maximum Power Handling
2000 watts
Sensitivity (2.83 volts)
89.89 dB
Magnet Size
228 oz.
Mounting Depth
8"
Voice Coil Configuration
Dual 2 ohms

2 of these with 1 of the pr1000 class d amps

at 4 ohms its 300x1
2 ohms is 600x1
and at 1 ohm its 1000x1

i can tell you right now that if you like that low bass with good punch and tight kicks and even the low rattle your fillings out of your teeth bass.. than i would go with memphis

13w7 is a great woofer too but way expensive
but ive never seen anyone blow one and i hear they are durable

and if you want some serious bass for cheaaap

audiobahn man

a buddy has two
FLAME EXCURSION SERIES
10's in a truck box with a 750 bridged amp and its loud as shit but it doesnt project as much outside of the truck

audio is like apples and oranges people will tell you to go with a certain brand or hate on a company from a bad experience

you cant go wrong with audiobahn memphis or jl audio tho..
