i had the same problem on three different h/u but all pioneer's, they all were from the rca's on the h/u not the wiring.... could be something wrong with the head unit

That's a common problem on pioneer headunits. The rca loses its ground allowing noise into the system. I would try that first since it would be the easiest I would guess. If that doesn't work it probably is your rca being ran with your power wire. As for the switches try moving it to a different power source and see if that helps.

This sucks lol....I had a nice near top of the line pioneer unit my girl bought me for xmas and as soon as I installed my system in it. It started whining...knowing it was ground loop issue i swapped rca's well i went from crappy rcas to more crappy rca's that i had laying in the house. To make a long story short it was the head unit. so check that first...and make sure you use decent rcs's I went back to the unit that was in my truck and it hasnt bothered me since...but it sucks cause i could have just grounded the rcas lol

I had the same problem before. I bought a "ground loop isolator." It fixed the problem just fine. It hooks into your rca's and into your amp. I paid about 12 bucks at wallmart for it.

This is kind of a band-aid fix but it does sometimes work, I ran one for 2 years because I was too lazy to fix the system properly, then found out that I had a piece with some issues when I did get un-lazy.

well, i got everything fixed. my power wire and rca's were zip tied to each other, so i moved them away from each other. now i don't hear the whining sound coming through the speakers. i also found that the avs box that my switches come out of had the power and ground wires tapped into the power and ground of my amp. so i moved the switch box ground wire straight to the frame and i haven't heard any clicking in the speakers when i hit the switches. so, thanks again for everyone's help.

YOU COULD MAYBE USE A NOISE FILTER OR THE GROUND ON THE RADIO IS BAD YOU NEED TO FIND A BETTER GROUND I USE TO WORK A MOBILE ONE AND WE HAD ALOT OF PEOPLE WHO CAME WITH THAT PROBLEM WHEN YOU PRESS THE GAS YOU HEAR IT IN YOUR SPEAKERS THAT SOUND IS NASTY TO HEAR WHEN DRIVING BUT THAT WHAT IT COULD BE AND CHECK THE RCA JACKS ALSO
