1995 s-10 4.3 v6

I just bought a 95 dime with an auto tranny and a 4.3. When you start to take off in drive, why does the motor sound so loud? Is it the stock fan blades making what sounds like wind noise?

alot of the chevy trucks do that. seems to happen the most if the ac pump is turnin.

You can replace it with an electric fan and it will get quieter, just make sure it pushes enough air

Mine does it sometimes when its really hot outside, but it chills out once you get rollin.

fan clutch is taking a shit

try waiting a little bit before you take off...as in dont put into drive and move 1 sec after starting the truck...

this is normal if is a TBI truck. my 91 has a TBI 4.3/auto and it has done it since 1999 when i got it.

mine did that till the fan clutch went out so new clucth is in store for you

most s-10s sound like a damned big rig due to the mech cooling fan. i put an electric on mine and it shut the hell up. also freed up a lil power and gas mileage.
