Alarms to stay away from???????

ok so ive been driving around with out and alarm for too long I need an alarm guys!!!! Is there any alarm brand or alarm that you recommend or which ones should i stay away from?

viper/python and Clifford are really good stay away from brands that you can get from like wal-mart k-mart they will suck ass after awhile Ive ran viper for years and never had any problems so I'm bias towards them

stay away from the scitek(sp?) the one with the camera that takes a pic of the intruder... crap! if you get anything get a DEI product..... viper, python, ect... www.directed.com

Any alarm built by Directed electronics is good. Clifford, viper, python, valet, etc. Check out there website for more brands. I personally install clifford at my shop and never had a problem. I personaly would stay away from all others.

back in the day when i used to actually drive my truck... i had a python from dei.. never had a problem with it

I've had my Prestige for almost a year now. No problems so far.

viper/python THEY ARE EASY TO BYPASS CLIFORD IS GOOD BUT I WOULD GET PRESTIGE I HAD IT FOR ALMOST 4 YEARS WITH THE 2WAY PAGER AND REMOTE START HAVENT HAD A PROBLEM SINCE I GOT MY ALARM PRESTIGE IS THE WAY TO GO THATS THE WAY I SEE IT

i have an autopage.. i'm sure its not cheap but not great.. one of the high end stereo stores "Car Toys" installed it for the previous owner, i havent had 1 bad problem with it.

Go with anything directed electronics makes. thats Viper, Python, Clifford, Avitol, Hornet and even sidewinder. they also make automate, but thats only available through a car dealer and is the same as an entry level viper at double the cost.
Stay away from Cheapo brands from the flea markets and walmart etc... if you dont you will regret it WHEN(not if) you need a remote replaced, or have a wiring problem.
Been installing for 12 years and only recomend DEI products

i have a clifford in the dually & a prestige in both the toy & my corolla (daily). they're both good, just since the clifford is so much more expensive & does all the same shit, i'd say go with the prestige.
