I have a '90 HB thats bagged.. Having a problem with my HB road walking mostly steering itself to the left and shaking at higher speeds.. I think the shaking has to do with the crappy old firestones that are on it w/o shocks so I have some slams on the way & I plan on making some shock mounts when they get here.. Thing thats driving me nuts is the road walking & pulling.. The strut rod mounts & bushings up front are drug up pretty good but not destroyed.. I can't feel any front to back movement of the lower control arm when I shake it down and it seems the bushings in the strut rods are pretty solid just drug up.. Any sugestions?? I'm kinda stumped on it and just want to get this thing fixed.. I'm sick of fighting it every time I drive it & it's my daily.. Should I just build some locator bars for the lower control arm and call it a day?..

crank you steering wheel all the way left, stick your head out the window, and look at front left wheel while rolling slightly forward then hitting brake. if you can watch it rock back and forth in wheelwell, your bushings are washed out

Probably safer to have a friend watch for that.

Just went outside and tried this in a parking lot down the road.. I can't see or hear any movement.. Also looked at the bushings and other than dried out & drug a lil they seem ok.. I already have replaced the tie rod ends so I guess I'm going to replace the strut rod bushings along with upper & lower ball joints tomorrow and get it put on an alignment rack & see where that takes me...
