hey guys i have 2 solobaric 15's in my ex cab yota and i currently have them in a vented box that is 4.65 ft3 for each sub. i am wanting a box that can both look good and still pound like crazy when its time. they each have a kx1200.1 powering them so they pound. i am wanting a freeform fiberglass enclosure but i don't know if one could take the pounding the subs dish out. i am going to be adding two 12" solobarics later but that is not now. the box i have them in now is functional but not very pretty in any aspect, they both point up with a 8 1/4" vent in the middle, and the box goes half way up my back glass. it is just above my side vent window latches. i just want something that i can show off that will be pleasing in both aspects of powerful and good looking. any suggestions?thanks

you can do a fiberglass enclosure, just make sure it's at least a 1/2" think on the glass part, and use as much 3/4" MDF for the base of it. would'nt be hard to make a box for that truck, preferably i would do the 2 12's over the 15's.

My 13JLW7 has been pounding on Fiberglass boxes since 2003 with no problems. I've never had any luck with ported or vented boxes. They all sound the same to me. They beat but put out the same note everytime. Ima a fan of sealed boxes. Try and keep the box as close to manufacturers specs as possible. Make it larger rather than smaller and you should be alright. I have one sub in my quad cab and it smashes. Enough for me to have to reinforce the rear wall to keep from breaking my rear glass.
