Help with rust

So ive got some pretty bad surface rust on the tubs in my bed. Whats the best why to get rid of it. Ive heard people say they make a spray and some people say just sand it down.

any ideas?

either sand it down or have it blasted...yeah there are some sprays out there like por-15 and what not that are supposed to neutralize it and stop rust..but if at all possible i would say try to get rid of it first....

Just sand it down man, i had surface rust also on my tubs. I just hit it with a rough grit to get most of it off, then stepped down so i wouldnt have huge scratches and marks in it.

dupont metal conditioner get it at local body shop supplie store.

As you in Vegas and not normally humid I am going to say hot with 80 grit it should knock off most of it.
