what exactly is this? it HAD emissions, but I don't honestly remember ANYTHING being attached to this, hoses or anything. Obviously at one point there was though. Any of you guys know if I still need it? It looks like it has some sort of fuel line attached running though the crossmember and all...

thats kinda what I thought, but I don't see where it runs to? Obviously trace the fuel line back, but where do they typically connect on the motor?

When they run into that filter they follow a line to the motor and into the CANP solenoid. When u turn your key on the fumes basically recycle back to your motor instead of in the air.
