Has anyone every cut their stock tank @ the sending unit and then bolted it to a metal fuel cell? If so what type of gasket should be used.

use a buna N rubber gasket. You can get gasket sheet and rings at www.mcmaster.com

'bdpaco' also sells an adapter that lets you mount your stock pump in a generic cell from summit etc. You could IM him.

That is pretty much what we had to do with mine. I think someone makes aan after market fuel pump for it now, but at the time we didn't have that option.

We used the liquid gasket stuff made for gasoline applications. Never has leaked.

This topic has been talked about at www.rangerpowersports.com. You can use the stock sending unit and has guides on how to install it.
