I pulled the bracket off of my LCA that my torsion bar is bolted to, stuck new bolts in the lca and now my torsion just hangs there flapping.. how do i get the actual bar out of the truck? i'm attempted to just start cutting the bracketry if i cant find out how to get it out..

My other question is, i have stock spindles with 215/40/17 tires and i'm 1" from laying out.. bag is almost fully deflated but at the same time, i lay REALLY hard on on the stabilizing bars. the 2 steering components that bolt to the outside of the frame on each side, the nuts on the bottom on both, lay on the stabilizers, i think she'll lay if i can get that off of there. anyway have any ideas what i do about that other then weld a new piece of tube on the side for a dual mounting point a arm so i dont need the stabilizers anymore..

there is a retaining clip on the back of the torsion bar assuming its like my hardbody was if you remove it and beat on it a lil bit the bar should come our with not to much trouble.. and with that tire size i would reccomend gettin spindles because i had the same issue on my truck and with spindles it layd hard.. and you have to keep the stabilizer bars unless you do some mods to the lower control arms and just buy a set of cando's but good luck with that

is the retainer clip you speak of is it under the door and attached to the little bracket that has the nut and bolt attached to it? under my door the nut and bolt is completely gone, and the bar itself moves back and forth a little, but i guess i just dont remember seeing anything that resembles a clip.. damnit

as for the tires.. i had drop spindles, but the dude who bagged the truck did the 5 lug swap ghetto and i destroyed them when it broke.. so i got stockers machined to do it right and to get it back on the road, i'll get em eventually when i get the 20's, but you CAN lay a 18 on a 35 series with stock spindles.. i'm just not sure if i need to build the tri bar off of the stock lowers to the frame and mount it, or if i can keep the stabilizers.

to do the tri bar i speak of, all you gotta do is get a 4 link end, 2 tabs and a piece of tubing, i just wanna try to get it to lay without that at the moment.

you might can get it to lay on 18's with stock spindles if you modify the lower control arms but other than that i dont see where its possible but i could be wrong.. and that clip im talking about is what holds the arm that the bolt runs threw on the torsion bar its self just pull backk the rubber boot and you should see it... but if you dont wanna fight it just take the bolts out and leave em there
