s10 feiro motor swap ?s

buddy has an 86 fiero with the 2.8 v6. bad rod knock. fuel injected. 4 speed. another guy i know has an 80s s10 with a 2.8. 5 speed. what would be involved in making the swap work? just the bottom end of the donor? id probably keep the fiero heads and cam. i cant see the feiro motor mounts down low, but will this work?

I can't See GM making more than 1 different block for a 2.8. I bet the bottom end will drop right in.

I swapped a 2.8 5 speed from a Citation into a 2.8 Auto Centery back in the day.
