I want to upgrade from V-Belts to a Serp Belt setup on my truck. Does anyone know of a kit or compagny that makes them other then March. I need a kit for a Alt and P/S with brackets that do not mount to my heads, they have no mounting holes in them. I have a short neck water pump on my engine and March basically makes them for long neck water pumps. Or is my best bet to put a long nect water pump on the engine? Thanks.

best to just swap over the water pump..I'
ve put a couple on some older engines..I use the serpentine system from a 4.3 or 350..you can drill and tap the hole in your head yourself with it still on the engine..just bolt the brackets on with the 2 existing bolts and drill the other hole using the bracket as a template..thats the cheapest..and it works good..

91 caprice serp setup is interchangable. Buddy put one on his 400ci chevy in an 88 camaro. It was a true frankenstien car but it had the serpentine setup on it and worked like a charm. Just a few brackets. I don't know about the water pump tho. You might have to do some modifien or change the pulley if possible. Either way it's something to look into. Good luck. Pm me if you want me to ask him anything for you. He's a pretty damn good mechanic.

88-92 Camaro, and same year caprices used the factory serpentine system. Just go grab the whole deal complete from the junkyard, get the waterpump too because it's a reverse rotation deal.

You can go ahead and toss the air pump that's mounted on the passenger side accessory bracket under the a/c compressor. No A/C you say? Well, toss the factory compressor and onboardair.com sells a nice bracket that bolts into place in the factory accessory bracket to mount a york, and it's cheap too.

You're welcome.
