Alright, finally got the pictures up from this weekend. 2002 Silverado, wishbone rear with stock fuel tank. The plan on this one was to not do a parallel, no cantilever, no bag over axle, all while keeping the stock fuel tank. We did raise the tank 2", but still in the stock location. Everything is one off, the only things bought were the necessary things (bags, valves, airline, etc.) All the parts were TIG welded except for the rear upper bag brackets. Gets 18" lift in the back with pinion at 3 degrees to the driveshaft throughout the whole range of travel. when hitting sides, driver side can be all the way aired up and passenger side aired out and wishbone doesnt bind at all. All in all, it works great. Let me know what you think...

Before cutting into it...

After a few cuts here and there

it looks offset in the front of this one, but its just the camera angle

A few pictures of the Wishbone

Made the Bag Cups for the front

Lower bars, 2"x2" .25 wall, with 2,5" johnny on back, 2 3/4" bushing on front.

Valves mounted on frame behind cab

What kind of spring hanger is that?

Your axles look brand new, did you narrow the rearend?

are you going to build another crossmember for your gas tank because it gets pretty heavy when its full and wont the bags push the frame in without a crossmember i seen it happen alot and i hope your muffler doesnt melt any airlines other than that looks badd ass

still havent decided on building another crossmember for the gas tank yet.. when the truck is aired out, the pinion is right behind where that crossmember would go, so it could get tricky, i mean, could always make a loop or somethin but right now there arent any plans for it. next, the gas tank isnt going anywhere. its a 26 gallon tank, and water weighs 8 lbs per gallon, gas weighs slightly less. so lets say it would weigh 200 lbs maximum plus the weight of the tank itself. i weigh 160 and i stood on the very end of where i cut it off after it was welded (not evenly distributing my weight like the tank does by using the straps) and i jumped on it until i was tired. didnt move at all. it is pretty rigid, i put a gusset underneath it (cant see it in the pictures as it is behind the gas tank) that runs along the inside of the frame and under the crossmember. the last thing i wanted was to loose a gas tank. and lastly, while yes, i did remove a crossmember, i also added 2 more over the notch, and boxed the frame forward and back of the notch. we arent hopping the truck, its just a daily driver/dragger. even under some pretty extreme circumstances, it would take a lot to bend that frame rail in. glad you like it though, thanks

oh, and we arent running a muffler, were running the stock exhaust til the back of the cab and it turns down to exit passenger side. all the airlines are out of the way (although in that picture it looks real sketchy) but there wont be any heat problems.

if by 'spring hanger' you mean the front lower bar mount, the truck was bought with a 4/6" lowering kit installed, i just ran the lowers off those stock mounts. and as for the axles, yes the axle was narrowed 2" per side as provide clearance for the 22s (265/40/22). could have avoided narrowing it, but the rims were already on the truck when it was bought, so it was kinda like 'spend $2-3k on new rims with a different offset, or buy some new axles and just narrow the housing..' it was much more cost effective to narrow the housing.
