What will happen if I plug the bottom port on an air cylinder? will the ride be better, i have seen those damper slow downs but wanted to know if I plugged it if I would blow some seals or what, has anyone done this? thanks

I've seen it done before, but I wouldn't recommend it. Plugging it won't make it ride any better, and it will put extra strain on the piston seals. Just run a filter muffler to keep dirt out of the port- you can run an adjustable dump if you want to try to slow it down a bit, but it won't make a big difference- the weight of your vehicle will usually overcome the small amount of vacuum that is created under the piston.
