Yep I beams It isn't an easy project thats for sure!! But it can be done. Even with a 5.4 it would still be sick if it laid body, on 24s, short bed, brand new!

What sucks is it will probly take a while for me to get the cash and by then some one with the money will have seen this post, like the idea, do it, then when I do it I'll have to here how I coppied him!!! X(

can u get a six foot bed wtih a single cab? im thinkin u would have to shorten the frame and the distance from front to rear axles, but i def like the idea, alot.

i think it would look sick ass hell

there's a red one that's in a few of the diesel mags i've got layin around. The owner calls it stroked lightning or something like that. It's a red standard cab with a 6 3/4' bed and the diesel...souped up engine and all that stuff...pretty sick...

Even with a 5.4 you are going to have to move the engine and trans up because they hang below the body. The exhaust has to be moved also but isnt a major biggie I know because thats where we are at on my excursion right now and its a 5.4 lol

i've always wanted to do this also. you could either change out the front suspension to an F-150 unless you want to keep it 8 lug. i would run the exhaust down along the driveshaft tunnel if possible?? or a 5.4 DOHC motor out of a navigator would be bad.
