Whats the process for doin this?

is it just a light coat of paint and then cleared?

scuff light with 600
rub out any casting marks,
and D.O.T. raised lettering
over reduce the basecoat(by 2x,
then clear as usuall --cut, buff,,

i mixed black in the clear on mine, then just do as many layers to get em as dark as you want

Use black kandy toner in intercoat clear.... scuff up with 800 then do as many light even coats as you like to achieve the shade you want. Then clear with a proper 2k catalyzed clear. Using basecoat, even overreduced base will reduce the light output greatly for the same shade as the kandy toned clear basecoat.

i only put a few drops of paint in the clear, so it's bout the same as candy, but any of these ways will work it sounds like to me, also make sure you use adhesion promoter first
