Okay, someone at Advance Auto Parts told my lil' bro that he should have the transmission fluid changed in his '96 Accord (bought used) with 221,000 miles because it is shifting rough...One shop he went to told him that they wouldn't touch it because they would be liable if something goes wrong afterwards, and that he should go somewhere else to have it "circulated"...A friend of his told him that 3 different mechanics have told him NOT to change the tranny fluid...Any opinions on what's right/wrong??? Appreciate the feedback!

they are trying get at that when they change the fluid in a car with high mileage if it is shifting funny already when they drain it and change it usually what is left of the clutches and such finish falling apart and then you have no tranny at all. it happens more than you would think. i would suggest not touching it if it is already shifting bad.
