The door/ignition chime in my 93 b2200 seems to be stuck on whenever the key is in (running, driving whatever) Its driving me insane and I cant tell where its coming from. Its obviously under the dash somewhere but I dont know what it looks like and I just sounds like its coming from everywhere once I'm under there. I need to break this thing ASAP before I lose my mind so if anyone knows where the hell it is or how to shut it off let me know please. thanks.

not sure about mazda, but on an S-10 it is located on the left side of the steering colum and its a white box about the size of a pack of cigarettes, S-10 one just pulls out of the harness, may have a relay around or near it as well. Hope this helps. That sound is enough to make anyone shove pencils in their ears.

Put on Sir Mix Alot "Beepers" song and turn it up. It will mix in.

The mazda chime is just a high frequency whine. Its frying my brain.

is there a switch that runs it in the door jam?
ground the switch out or start pulling fuses one at a time until it stops. make sure to pay attention to what else stops when you pull the fuse!

Your brain is already fried.

Best fix for that truck is to take a torch, turn it on, light it up and toss it in the cab.

Done

It's no worse than what you drove for the last 2 years. Just needs exhaust and this damn noise to go away.
There's no fuse foe the chime itself so I doubt pulling fuses is gonna be the answer. The door jamb switches have never worked. its the damn ignition part of it thats the trouble.

Does it have one of those door buttons? When the door is closed the circuit is broken, but when the door is open it closes the circuit and turns it on? If for some reason its stuck on any time you turn the key it will get power. Have you looked at that thing? Its possible to remove it and just separate the wires. Thats what I did. I hate those things.
