I know you have to be carefull how you say 89-95 speedo on a yota 89-91 is a cable driven and 92-95 is elec driven. I would think that any electric would work but I dont know about the cable.

yea its for a 93 it is electric. im doin the dash in glass and i want to get rid of the stock cluster. the tach fuel and temp gauges are cake to hook up, i just have never done a speedometer before and i dont know whats involved. especially cause its foreign and most aftermarket stuff is for domestics

You should be able to run an Auto Meter or pretty much any analog gauge. Its just resistance that tells the gauge what to do. If the speedo is off a little, you can take it to a driveline service center and they should be able to adjust it. Like the gauge may take a different amount of ohms than the Toyota puts out. I believe they have converters for this type of thing.
