Yeah there was some light duty 1/2 ton truck back then with the new body style and it had smaller front brakes and upper ball joints too.

If you watch the new Chevy commericals, they're boasting about releasing the new '07 HD models the same year as the 1/2 tons! Like it's something they just thought up...

To paraphrase Chris Rock, they're taking credit for something they're SUPPOSED to do!!

FWIW- most aftermarket companies class the Tahoe/ Suburbans as 92-00 and 01-06... it's saved confusion for us on billet grilles and rollpans!

So MAX, In your opinion your would do a traditional BD on the 88-98 trucks? How many inches? Most are 2 1/2 i believe. what will be my biggest problem in Doing this? its an auto tranny so theres the shift linkages to shorten. Anything eles to be aware of?
Thanks Robb

Take it from me bro, if you are gonna leavethe same wheel size on it, do a traditional. I am in the second year of building my frame for my 2-door, and it has been a pain in the ass the whole way. Also, if my measurments are right on mine, it will only take 3 inches to go to the doors.
