converting a c-10 long bed to short bed

just wondering if someone has cut down a longbed into a shortbed. what are the steps or ideas to doing this. i got a short bed frame and bed but dont want to bag that frame out, so i think the easiest thing would be to cut it and shorten the drive shaft. thanks help please

they did a conversion like this on trucks or another one of those power block shows a few weeks ago and show how to do it id check out taht on youtube or something and it may help ya out some

Just cut the front off the bed and you can make it any length you want remember its custom. Choose to cut it close to the front and you will have an easier time keeping it straight. Make sure you brace the inside and to the floor but not in the part your going to cut off. Make it different man. good luck.

Why not just backhalf it? Then you can just measure a shortbed and bolt'er up after u get the frame built?
