Does the 5cyl have alot more shit in the engine bay?

Also does it really have any more power and are there any performance parts made for it(or for thr 4cyl for that matter)?

Pretty much just wondering about chip and exhaust. Obviously intakes are easy to fab up...

Basically opinions on both/either engine would be cool.

Since the crew cabs aren't made with 5-speed tranny's, i'm plannin on swappin in a 5-speed from a std or ex-cab for the auto anyway...

I own a stock 5cyl canyon. Prior to purchasing it I test drove a handfull of 4s and 5s. The only way I would have bought a 4cyl is if it were a single cab. The 4cyl crew cab had absolutly no power compared to the 5. I tow a 20' boat, and 5x8 enclosed trailer with my 5 and have no complaints. Without a trailer behind it, it has plenty of power. With minor bolt ons I hear you can get alot of xtra ponies. Hope this helps.

i have a crew cab i5. its alot more power then i thought it would be. there are exhaust kits and intakes out there, but i havent seen a chip or anything yet. the 5 is definatly better then the 4. especially in the crew cabs.

i have the 5 in mine...no complaints on the power at all...i don't tow or anything but it's got more than enough to get me around town at extra-legal speeds....be sure to try and find someone in your area with hp tuners. a tune makes a night and day difference on those motors.

I have an I5 crew cab and wouldnt even consider the I4...I have personally lugged a metric ton of cement in the bed of my truck with absolutely no problem...its a very well built engine.

Well I have a magnaflow exhaust and waiting for my coold air intake to show up(new design) for my 2007 I4, I do know that since I dont tow anything it gets good gas mileage, check out colorado fans.com or 355 forums there are alot of information about these trucks on there
