Does oakley make safety glasses? ive been wearing my oakleys for a while working because they wrap around for a tight fit and are VERY impact resistant. I once saw a friend at an rc race get hit in the face by a T-maxx off a jump, knocked him out, broke his nose, cut up all around his eye area. but only scuffed his oakleys he had on.

I work in a refinery and I wear my Oakley Splices, had one safety man question them because they were not stamped with a Z87 marking. I showed him the paper that comes with the glasses it states that Oakleys exceed all ANSI Z87 ratings. I have never been questioned about them since. I trust my Oakleys a lot more than a $2.00 piece of plastic, that I've had the lenses fall out of. Keep rocking the Oakleys as long as they have a good tight wrap around fit. I would recommend a face shield or goggles when grinding though.

YOU KNOW WHAT WORKS REALLY GOOD, IS YOUR WELDING HOOD. TAKE THE WELDING LENSE OUT AND LEAVE THE CLEAR GLASS OR PLASTIC LENSE IN. DOESNT FOG UP OR ANYTHING. BUT YOU NEED THE LONG LENSE HOOD.

^^^^ X2, I use that all the time. It doesn't only protect my eyes, but my full face and even my neck. Its pretty awesome because i have two tools in one. I also recommend wearing a shirt too, caught a piece of shrapnel in the gut once, that shit hurt. It took a full roll of paper towls to stop the bleeding.(Bounty brand too, the quicker picker upper, my ass)

I wear a full face shield with safety glasses if I'm grinding stationary but most of the time it gets in the way so I wear some glasses that fit real tight and wrap around...but I have those magnetic eyes also. It's not fun sitting in the ER to have a piece of metal drilled out of your eye even though you were wearing safety glasses.
