Whats up Im about to put on some 2 1/2 coil spacers on a 1990 1500 halfton 2wd pickup TODAY and im wanting to get some tips on installing them any help would be GREAT... Thanks ROnnie

are they the ones that sit on top of the spring? when trying to seperate the ball joints do not use the fork. just use a hammer and hit the ouside of the spindle were the ball joint connects. if you leave the nut on it will keep the spring from popping out. it will work on the upper ,lower and tie rod end . you should just have to lossen the top ball joint let the lower control arm fall remove spring install spacer and reinstall sping. use a floor jack to raise lower control arm to help compress the spring. so you can get the upper ball joint back into the spindel. good luck

Need some more help, OKay I got the tie rod off, the top balljoint the off and the bottom balljoint is loose ( just took the bolt off) and I took off the sway bar from the Aarm and the spring isnt budgin any help would be great... Thanks Ronnie


All I need is the next step so I can get the spring out and put these coilspacers in...

my bad i was working just pry down on the lower a arm. you can use a crow bar to get the spring out make sure the lower arm has room to hang down sorry about the late post been away from the comp. most of the day.
