New world speed record

I just found out that yesterday the production car world speed record previously held by the Bugatti Veyron got beat out by an SSC Aero TT. A car produced in my local town by just a group of engneers (including a good friend of mine.) The car recorded a speed of 253.83 MPH on a stretch of highway that they closed off.

The car is amazing as far as the engineering and testing gone into it without the multi-billion dollar budgets the its competitors have.www.sscautos.com

its realy cool to have an american car company back in the record books. its been a while

a clip from the last atempt that hit 241 at 70%throttle but had to back off due to snow on the road.The best car ever
