Whatsup StreetSource Forum!! Heres what im trying to find out, I was looking at a plumbing diagram on Suicide Doors on an 8 valve setup and was wondering if im putting my valves on the tank or anywhere for that matter do I need to run check valves on the fill side of the valve before or after the valve? Can someone explain because I always seem to ask this question but people dont understand what im saying. (Yes im more of a Hydros type of guy) trying to get involved in the Air Bag side of things to. Can someone explain? Pics would help too!

The only place I have a check valve is after my EDC. My valves need to have pressure on the back side or they will not work.

you dont need check valves period

I was under the impression that check valves prevent bleed down when tank pressure is less than bag pressure. Wouldn't the check valves go between the fill valve and bag. That way the bag cannot bleed down until the dump does it.

they'd go between the fill and the tee, before the dump so the bag can still dump.

i put check valve between the tank and valve.so when i hit the back switch it wouldn't draw air from the front and make my truck drop. when my pressure was low.

u dont need check valves... only if u have a car with cylinders or rods ex: if ur tank isnt full while ur driving it uses the tank air as a cushion ,its basically like air floatin in the system goin back and forth ,with a check valve it locks it between the tank and the cylinder,,,if ur usin bags on a truck u dont need them the only 1 u need is with the compressor but that comes with it usually. peace!!

Sounds like a lot of people have a lot of different opinions on this one...

Ur right Nick, everyone does have their own opinion. You don't NEED check valve but they work. If you don't want bleed back and you want some insurance, check valves are the way to go. I'm happy I put mine on because I got an air leak a couple of months back and got home because I some in. It was odd driving with no tank pressure and was still off the ground. They go b4 the fill valve otherwise how would it be able to dump? And check valve work on all setups and are no better for bags or cylinders.
