removing... a mess

Just bought a new (to me) truck today. It had these stick on chrome rockers on it and they had to go. I took the chrome off with a heat gun but it left behind 90% of the glue/tape/whatever. Before I make a bigger mess for myself I wanted to see if anyone had any tricks to get it off easy.

heres what I started with.

heres whats left

Heat gun melts it and it will rub off but its a slow process, just wanna see what you guys would do. Thanks!

i cant find it online. look in a lmc truck book. There is a adhesive removing wheel. Goes in your drill and takes everything off without hurting paint.

the adhesive remover wheel is your best fastest bet. you can get them from any local autobody supply house. i have used the goof off or whatever it is called you can buy it at autozone or walmart. gray spray bottel and get the jell kind. spray it on let it set and wipe it off. lots of elbow grease but works.

take a razor blade if your good at using one and scrape the biggest part of it off..then use an eraser wheel ..you can get one that attaches to a drill at any auto body supply store or online for about 25 bucks..well worth it..doesnt hurt the paint and will completely remove the glue..you dont have to use a razor..but hitting a big blob of adhesive will use the wheel faster..

that stuffs too thick imo for a razor.. i've used goo gone, 3m goo shit eraser gel and liquid and scrubbed and scrubbed, used a f-in putty knife and i still have some of that crap on the side of my s10, i finally gave up.

i used a plastic putty knife when i removed my emblems. the plastic didnt scratch the paint but was nice enough of an edge to get all the crap off
