i really hate asking this cuz i know a good deal about PS but i have tried and tried and am just not gettin how to take a rim and make it a deepdish and have a realistic looking tire...is it all going out and takin pictures?....i know i probably wont get an answer since it probably propriotary info...but hey i will give it a shot.

Well there are several ways to deep dish a rim but generally probably the easiest was is to create 4 layers one of the lip, one of the front dish, one for the center part of the rim, and the last the inner dish...then you can adjust the depth as you wish...you just got to play with the reflection on the front dish. Tires are just a matter of finding via taking pictures, contacting companies, or looking on the net.

its good to get photos of a deep dish version of a rim but often its hard to find, i find it easier to make it in photoshop

what i do is i take the spokes and make it its own layer then i take the lip and put it in a layer underneath the spokes

i recess the spokes back as deep as i want the lip to be

then i take the smudge tool and i start smudging the lip back toward the spokes till it reaches the spokes, making sure i don't actually smear the outer most part of the rims lip on accident. and once you have stretched the whole dish you should have something pretty realistic.
