im not a tablet kind of guy, great for brushing though idf it works for your artistic style. i learned on a mouse i guess.

doug uses tables i do believe
and the bigger the tablets the better

the smaller ones just dont do it for me

a 20 inch tablet to match a 20 inch monitor would be ideal but i have a 28" widescreen and a tablet that big would be insanely expensive and i dont like the feel of tablets

i have the step up from the one you just ordered
i love it
it was cheep and it does the job
i dont think you need a big tablet cause you should be zooming in when you do your work, sure you can make more detailed marks with a bigger tablet but if your zoomed in it really doesnt matter.

i've got a 6x8 wacom intous... i love this thing. the shortcuts kick ass and you can have so much control over what your doing.

my one complaint... sometimes when i've got the mouse just sittin on it, i'll be doing something and look over to my screen and it's acting like i just hit the back button on the mouse like 20 times. or it'll act like i hit right click a bunch of times. u just see the windows going ape shit on my screen, then i grab the mouse off the pad and it stops. no biggy really but when it happens like twice a week, it gets annoying

I was really considering buying one, but a couple days ago, I got a chance to play with one. I was out of it at first, which I expected, but even as I got the hang of it, it was nearly as precise as the mouse for me. When I would just hold the pen in one spot, it would move in little "spurts" in a small radius. Was that just the tablet I was using? It was an Aiptek.
