On the 5th generation honda civics, what kind of metal is the gas tube that goes from the filler hole to the tank.

Should be steel.

that's what I hope but it has a bronze finish like copper or another finish that I can't weld. I want to cut and extend it so to place in a different location. and I don't want to screw up the flow. I'm sure I can use rubber hose too, but just want to know the options

make sure you ground it if your going to relocate it.

can you just make a complete new one out of round steel tubing? Stainless would work nice too.

just use exhaust tubing.

make up a template and take it to an exhaust shop..

Wa-la.
