I removed the heater box and blower motor from my 2000 s10 when I bagged it a few years back and damn I really wish I had my AC now that I started driving it everyday so over the winter I would like to figure out how I can put the ac back in. I have heard of a heater box from Vintage Air that can go in your glovebox, under the dash etc. but no part number and I contacted them and they didnt know what I was talking about.I have heard of ppl fabricating one out of metal but havent seen one up close., and I dont really know any local shops that have done this. Any suggestions?

just call vintage air and tell them you want the kit that was installed in Street Trucks Magazine. I did that and they told me everything i needed came in a kit, you can even send them your stock a/c controls and they can wire the new kit up to it. Get ready, though, they quoted me a price of $1100 and some change shipped, but you get everything, blower box, condenser, compressor, everything. good luck, dude. or if you still have your a/c stuff, you can sink the fan in the firewall a little and cut the outer box down and fiberglass or metal tape it back, i know there's at least a few shops in your area that can do that.
