I just bought a bagged 00 ranger from my buddy, its only been bagged, so i'm going to be doing everything else. My front end isnt quite low enough for my liking. It has DJM uca and lca but the rear is still lower. My buddy says a custom tranny crossmember bolted on top of the tranny will do it? what have you guys done. I just bought some boyd coddington Timeless II 20x8.5 with a 5.5" backspacing on 245/30/20, and want the front tucking nicely. thanks guys

My friend Yoda, left the crossmembers alone, he added "drag Bars" off the edge of the frame that begins to go upward before the rear differential assembly, so it lays evenly. the only crossmenber I plan on fabbing, is the Fuel tank one, it catches a driveway that tilts up, then down. anyways, the front engine crossmember would be the most difficult one to fab due to the Rack n Poinion assembly, IMO. i can email ya some pics if ya like. Peace

sorry guys but im new to this, z'd??

so you dont think i need a crossmember... i'm out of the country at the moment, but when i get back thats one of the first things i want to do is try and get the front lower, its a good 1" to 2" higher than the back.

The engine crossmember hanges 2" lower than the frame. You will have to Z the frame to get it to lay out flat. I bild a trany crossmember that works with a Z frame it sits up inside the frame. hears a link
