whats up guys ok so a buddy of mine is in the process of bodydroping his 91 silverado he did a stockfloor 3" bdrp and his shifter linkage is hittin the cab floor??..on the ones i have done have been 95-up so they have the different linkage setup and i havent had any problem, but his is the old skool type that hooks to the steering linkage under the hood...i know you guys have done these style trks whats the easyest way of fixing this problem building a new linkage?

easiest way..put in a 100 b&m floor shifter...1 hours time

where the rod coming from the column (front of firewall) to the tranny. There is an adjustment screw. Loosen that screw..make sure the tranny is set at PARK and the column shifter is right in PARK...the rod will move like an inch. Tighten the screw back and ride.

OH..that might not have been clear...the adjustment is made at the TRANNY...follow the rod down from the column on the outside of the firewall.

ok, this is the last post i have for the month, but what is happening he said is that the rode that goes from the tranny to the frame has a tab on it that the rod from the column hooks to...that part/tab is hitting the floor making it not go into drive..seems that the tab is to tall what i was thinking is shorten the tab or even make a new rod so that it will clear the floor but i didnt knw if there was an easyer way thats why i wanted to ask first..

ahhhh perhaps i should have read your question a little better. It kinda sounds like a similar issue though...It sounds like shortening the rod will work, but I have never really ran into that.
