engine probs.

lately my truck has been running odd. It will run fine and then all of a sudden it will kinda pop\backfire and lose power for half a second. its almost like it is choking. any idea what this could be? its a 91 350 tbi.

i have recently replaced...fuel filter, spark plugs, egr, egr solonoid, cap, rotor, and pcv... think it could be a fouled plug?

that sounds like the same problem i'm having. mines a 92 4.3 i replaced the plugs, wires, cap, rotor, fuel pump and filter and now its like it misses every now and then, never did it before.

bump. its not throwing off any codes or anything.

when does it happen startup/hard driving under accleration/ declertation just normal driving?i would think back firing or poping would be either a timing issue or fuel issue.in your list of items not change how bout air filter?

its a k&n air filter and i just recently reoiled it. It only does it under normal driving. and acceleration.
