I know there are many different ways to sand and polish. i'm just wondering how you all wet sand and polish your Black paint jobs?? I put about 5 coats of clear and then start wet sanding with 800 grit and a soft block pad and work my way up to 3000 grit and then polish. this way you have about 2-3 coats of clear left on, this has always worked great for me..

i also spray 5 coats, and i start with 600 grit on a 9" paint stick, i use the stick through 1500, the switch to a soft block up to 3000, then polish. how the hell do you post pics again?? its been a while!

Who said you cut and buff black different than other colors?? I was just asking what steps you all are taking to polish out black.
