I know this is the photoshop forum, but I know a few of you build websites...

I have a website that I just kind of mess around with, but I recently started to try to sell some photos on it(motorcycle races). I was trying to make it more user friendly, so I split it up into the races, but there is still 500+ pictures to go through...

www.killersloth.com/monkeybutt2007.html

So I was thinking of doing a search feature, and just name the files after the racer they are for (51N.jpg, 13S.jpg, RACENUMBER.jpg)... and then have it search through the file names and show those results... How would I go about doing this, or anyone have a link to a good website that may show me?

Thanks

For customers to search for photos by name and call just a few photos based on their search critera you will have to have a database structure. Hope you have some web programing skills. I know for myself that type of stuff I always hand over to web developers and I just stick to designing the user interface. Good luck though.

yep.... you will probably neeed php or some serverside scripting language and a database(MYSQL) to store image location data.

Check out Hotscripts.com and look under any language for search scripts.
