s10...v8...gauges???

i have a 97 ss, i put a 350 in it, and now that its ready to roll, i dunno what to do about not having a mph gauge. how do i go about hooking this up, i have an older th350 trans, and they isnt no cable to hook it up. do i have to buy an adapter or something? i'm really lost and confused....

Buy a mechanical speedometer and it should come with a cable to run to the side of the transmission. If not pull one from a salvage yard or parts store. Your factory gauges are electronically controlled and you need a mechanically controlled gauge.

ahh crap, do u know any place i can get some aftermarket gauges other than autometer, 500 bucks is just a little to high for something ya really dont need

you can get gauges at autozone fairly cheap, but i would'nt reccomend. I think someone makes a mechanical cable to electric speedo converter, but i'm not sure.

Orielly's has'em (oklahoma orielly's has a display and can get you a speedo and gas gauge for like 140 bucks total) i am picken some up for my truck soon is why i know. And don't buy from autozone (i work there and there's suck)
